Job overview:  

Schneider is seeking a Lead Corporate Accountant in Green Bay to actively participate in period end close processes. The Lead Corporate Accountant will assist in the preparation of internal reporting and financial statements, as well as perform variance analysis following period end closes. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise subledger accounting functions. 
  • Assist with compliance and audit requests. 
  • Handle subledger activities and filings. 
  • Lead process improvement projects. 
  • Provide support to departments during budgeting and forecasting. 
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations. 
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls. 
  • Assess the effectiveness of control procedures in mitigating risks. 

Skills and qualifications:  

  • Bachelor degree in accounting. 
  • A minimum of six years of accounting or auditing experience. 
  • CPA or CPA in progress, required. 
  • Public accounting experience strongly preferred. 
  • Experience with ERP systems, such as Oracle.
