What to expect from this year's Driver Appreciation Days:
1. Door prizes and drawings.
Coolers, insulated mugs, tumblers, lunch boxes and more … there will be some pretty awesome prizes and drawings up for grabs at our facilities across the country.
Stop by your local Schneider facility to receive a prize and see how you can enter to win even more rewards.
2. Different gifts for each line of service.
All company drivers can expect to receive a gift during Driver Appreciation Days. Gifts vary by line of service.
Swing by your home facility to pick up your line of service gift or talk to your leader about other ways to receive your gift if you won’t be able to make it to your facility in time.
3. Free food.
Who doesn’t love free food? Company drivers can talk with their leaders about what to expect at their facility – whether that be a picnic, cookout or something in between.
4. Visits from the leadership team.
Members of the Schneider leadership team will be visiting 55 Schneider sites across the country to meet with and get to know drivers. Stop by, say hello and grab a “swag bag” from a leader.
Additionally, some leaders will be staying at their site an extra day to ride along with drivers on Friday, September 17. This is a great opportunity for drivers to show leaders what they do on a daily basis.
5. A live Facebook video chat.
Tune into our live Facebook video chat on Wednesday, September 15 at 6 p.m. CST for a conversation with Todd Jadin. This is the perfect time to ask your questions and get them answered.
Todd’s location may look a little different than normal, as he will be going live from our Gary facility!
6. Door prizes from Pilot Flying J.
One-hundred and fifty randomly selected Schneider drivers will be gifted door prizes, courtesy of Pilot Flying J. Drivers should regularly check Compass to see if they are one of the lucky winners.
7. Interactive cooking demonstrations at various facilities.
Schneider’s Nichole Garcia will be at different Schneider facilities throughout the week to do cooking demonstrations. These presentations will include easy-to-create meals that can be done inside of a semi-truck with little prep or clean-up.
Join Nichole at the following facilities and times:
- September 14: Indianapolis, Indiana facility (1-2:30 p.m. EST) - Lunch demonstration.
- September 15: Gary, Indiana facility (12:30-2 p.m. CST) - Dinner demonstration.
- September 16: Kostner, Illinois facility (6-7:30 a.m. CST) - Breakfast demonstration.
If you can’t make it to one of these facilities to join the fun, head to Compass or our YouTube channel to watch videos of how Nichole cooked up these recipes.
In the meantime, check out this taco recipe Nichole recently made: Cooking in a semi-truck: Tacos.
