Job overview:
Schneider is seeking a Business Support Specialist in Green Bay to assist the Purchasing and Account teams with providing exceptional service to customers. The Business Support Specialist will maintain accurate price data for the rating, payment and billing systems for customers and create and revise contract publications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and prepare contracts and amendment publications and revisions according to customer and vendor needs.
- Manage customer contracting requests.
- Activate and inactivate service providers in Schneider’s system.
- Prepare expiring insurance reports and obtain new provider insurance certificates.
- Create and revise carrier contracts.
- Participate in customer start-ups to define contract and insurance requirements.
- Qualify carriers and enter their data into various systems.
- Monitor service providers safety, Department of Transportation authority and insurance.
- Monitor service provider certifications and update as needed (i.e. hazmat and CA CARB).
Skills and qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- A minimum of 2 years of customer service, logistics, or transportation experience.
- Experience with contracting a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
